Here are the K/1 Rainbow Fish. Last week we read The Rainbow Fish by Marcus Pfister and the students prepared their background. They painted the paper with water and then dropped puddles of watercolor paint at the top of the paper. They held the paper up so that the paint ran down, mixing beautifully on the way.
Today they painted the fish over their background, noting the difference when painting over dry paint. The finishing touch was glitter glue. While I would have loved them to show the Rainbow Fish with just one shiny scale after giving the others away, the fact is that the glitter glue in so many fun colors really cried out to be used!
